SeniorCare Experts’ Home Delivered Meals Program is the only alternative in Jefferson County to the government-sponsored meals-on-wheels program for seniors. Our program is open to seniors age 60+ as well as those under age 60, with a demonstrated need such as being disabled. If meal preparation has become a challenge for you, let our team of local chefs prepare them for you.

Keeping seniors healthy with a good nutrition program is the goal of this program. The importance of maintaining high nutritional standards as we age cannot be overstated! Well balanced meals are important and will be delivered to your home, eliminating grocery shopping, meal preparation, leftovers and waste.

Pay with your credit card or automatic bank draft. Good nutrition is important for all ages, but it is crucial for seniors as they age and physical capacity declines. Research has shown that when seniors do not eat nutritionally well-balanced diets, they can develop symptoms of serious disease or illness, which can lead to costly health treatment.

SeniorCare Experts’ Meals Program chefs follow the nutritional standards of the Child and Adult Food and Nutrition Program. Meals are prepared with fresh ingredients, and with no added salt or sugar. Color in fruits and vegetables is an important nutritional tip used to keep meals healthy.

Older adults in Jefferson County qualify for the program if they are age 60+, or have a temporary need such as recent hospital discharge, are frail, or suffer a disability. Home delivered meals can help ensure that a homebound person maintains adequate nutrition. SeniorCare Experts Home Delivered Meals program serves approximately 25,000 meals per year from five local kitchen/meal pick up sites. Over 100 volunteers carry these meals to seniors’ homes on a daily basis.

Dear Clients, Families, Volunteers, and Friends,

SeniorCare Experts is actively monitoring the progression of the coronavirus, COVID-19, to ensure that we have the most accurate and latest information on the threat of the virus. As you know, this situation continues to develop rapidly as new cases are identified in our communities and our protocols will be adjusted as needed.

While most cases of COVID-19 are mild, causing only fever and cough, a very small percentage of cases become severe and may progress particularly in the elderly and people with underlying medical conditions. Because this is the primary population that SeniorCare Experts serves, we understand your concerns and want to share with you how our organization is responding to the threat of COVID-19.

First and foremost, safety and protecting the health of our clients and volunteers have always been a top priority. We have already been practicing these methods of keeping our clients safe. SeniorCare Experts wants to reassure you of these protective measures.
