  • “I can’t tell you how much we appreciate the meals our Mother receives. I believe she eats better and will be able to live at home longer because of the meals you provide. Thank you.”

  • “I cannot thank you and Senior Care Experts team for the quality of the Home Delivered Meals program. The service allows my Mom to stay in the same home she’s lived in for 60+ years and where she wants to be at this delicate life stage. Whenever I ask, Mom always tells me the food is delicious. Mom is a little lady and the serving size is enough for her for two meals. She loves the variety of the food options. Thank you again for this extremely helpful service which is allowing my Mom to stay in her home.”

    -Chris P.

  • Just want to let you and your staff and the wonderful volunteers who deliver know what a Godsend your service has been for us.  My wife has macular degeneration and a bad back that won’t allow her to stand for more than 2 or 3 minutes a time.  My back is just as bad and my cooking skills are non existent.  Now for the food.  IT IS EXCELLENT!!!  I am truly amazed at the quality. Thanks to everyone for this wonderful service. “

Inclement Weather Info

As we enter the season of bad weather, please be advised:

  • SCE makes its own decisions as to meals delivery and office closures.  We do not follow Jefferson County Public Schools or Meals on Wheels.
  • Please keep a two-day supply of emergency food available (peanut butter, jelly, cheese, crackers, tuna, soup, etc.) to eat in case we cannot deliver your meal.
  • If meals cannot be delivered to you, we will keep the meals refrigerated or frozen so they will be safe until we can deliver them to you.
  • For safety’s sake, volunteers may also start later in the morning.

If your meal is not on time, please be patient.  The kitchen’s production or the driver may be delayed by the weather. You may also call the office or check our web site to find out if we are delivering meals and if our office will be open.
